The AI wearable market hit its inflection point in 2025. Now in 2026 there are real choices under $100, and the differences between them matter a lot depending on what you actually want the device to do.
I build apps professionally on one of these devices. I have tested all three options that matter in this price range. Here is my ranked breakdown.
My pick: Omi at $79

At the time of writing, there are three AI pendant wearables worth considering under $100:
- Omi at $79
- Bee AI at $49
- Limitless Pendant at $99 (technically just over, but worth including)
Everything else in this category is either vaporware, a crowdfunding project that may or may not ship, or a rebranded version of one of these three.
Ranked Comparison
| Device | Price | Open API | Battery | Ecosystem | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Omi | $79 | Yes | 16 to 24 hrs | Large, growing | Builders, power users |
| Bee AI | $49 | No | 8 to 12 hrs | Minimal | AI companion, simple use |
| Limitless | $99 | No | 14 to 20 hrs | Meeting-focused | Meeting capture, no setup |
1. Omi ($79) Best Overall
Omi is the AI pendant I use every single day. I have built three production apps on it, I manage its API integrations, and I know its limitations better than most people who review it.
Price-to-capability ratio. At $79, you get a full developer API, webhook support, an MCP server, and access to a marketplace of apps built by a growing developer community. No other device under $100 gives you that.
Battery life. 16 to 18 hours of active recording means you can wear it from morning to midnight on a single charge. Bee does not come close.
The app ecosystem. The Omi marketplace has apps for voice note vaulting, passive life logging, Tesla voice control, sales call coaching, AI journaling, fitness tracking, and more. New apps ship regularly.
My honest limitation: Omi is not the smoothest out-of-box experience for someone who wants zero configuration. If you just want to wear a pendant and have AI summaries appear without any setup, Limitless is cleaner in that specific use case.
2. Bee AI ($49) Best Budget Option for AI Companionship
Bee is the cheapest real option and it is genuinely polished for what it does. The AI companion experience is Bee's core strength. The app is clean. Onboarding is fast. It just works.
The problems: battery life is 8 to 12 hours (not enough for a full-day wearable), there is no API or app ecosystem, and full features require a $14.99 per month subscription. At that rate you are spending $180 per year on top of the $49 hardware.
3. Limitless Pendant ($99) Best for Meeting-Centric Use Cases
Limitless is technically $99, which puts it just over the under-$100 threshold, but it belongs in this buying conversation.
Limitless wins in one lane: if you spend most of your day in meetings and your primary use case is capture, summary, and retrieval of meeting content, the Limitless experience is the most polished of the three. The desktop app and calendar integration are genuinely well done.
What Limitless does not do: developer access, third-party apps, custom integrations. The device works only within the Limitless ecosystem.
Which One Should You Buy?
Buy Omi if: you want the most extensible AI pendant under $100, you want to install apps from a marketplace, you drive a Tesla, you work in law, real estate, healthcare, or sales and want a vertical AI documentation tool, or you want 16+ hours of battery.
Buy Bee if: you want the cheapest option and your only use case is personal AI companion and simple daily memory capture, and you are comfortable with a subscription.
Buy Limitless if: you live in meetings, want the cleanest meeting intelligence experience, and do not care about extending the device or owning your data.
What I Actually Use
Omi. Every day. Without question. I have built three production apps on it. The fourth (Deposition Digest, for solo law firms) is in active development. The Tesla voice control alone justifies the $79 for me. But the Life Logger is what I use most. Having a searchable record of everything I verbally discussed or planned across 30 days changes how I work.
